Walking in the Midst of Others - created using the Yamaha AN200, the applications iGenDYN, Noise Machine, toplapapp, and Bowls for the iPod touch/iPhone/iPad. Sampled, processed, and assembled with the Roland SP-808 in October/November 2011.

The Firm and the Yielding Displace Each Other - created using the applications Air, Bowls, and h.fbk for iPod touch/iPhone/iPad. Sampled, processed, and assembled with the Roland SP-808 in October/November 2011.

Song and album titles taken from the I Ching:

Title: Hexagram 23: Six in the second place means: The bed is split at the edge. Those who persevere are destroyed. Misfortune.

1: Hexagram 24: Six in the fourth place means: Walking in the midst of others, One returns alone.

2: "The firm and the yielding displace each other within the eight trigrams. Thus the firm is transformed, melts as it were, and becomes the yielding; the yielding changes, coalesces, as it were and becomes the firm. In this way the eight trigrams change from one another in turn, and the regular alternation of phenomena within the year takes it course." - Richard Wilhelm from The I Ching or Book of Changes
